2022 Community Needs Assessment Results are Here

Hot off the press, the results of our 2022 Community Needs Assessment have been compiled, analyzed, and made available here on our website!

Every three years, West CAP conducts a Community Needs Assessment to gather feedback from low-income individuals and community partner agencies within our seven-county service area. The survey is a requirement of the Federal Community Service Block Grant and it asks about a variety of topics including housing, transportation, health, employment, education, and food/nutrition services. The results help us gain a deeper understanding of the current community needs so we can adjust and improve our programming to meet those needs. We also use the information to report to our agency partners and collaborators to bring positive change and outcomes to the needs identified from the assessment.

This year, the assessment was administered and analyzed by Catalyst at the University of WI-Stout. Focus groups were also formed and surveyed as part of this assessment, and those results are included in the report. A total of 165 respondents completed the survey and had an income level below 250% of the national poverty guidelines.
