WI Office of Energy Innovation Grant Brings Solar Benefits to Households on Energy Assistance

West CAP is a proud participant of a local community solar project to bring the benefits of solar energy to households in need. The Trenton Solar Array at Truttmann Field in rural Pierce County, WI  will be interconnected with the Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services (PPCS) distribution system and support the co-ops customer base. Remembering Darlene Waters

Our agency has taken a heavy blow this week as we mourn the loss of our beloved colleague and friend, Darlene Waters.   Dar was hired at West CAP by the agency’s first Executive Director, Jake Banks, in 1972 as an Assistant Bookkeeper. She worked in the accounting department in the Glenwood City office for the next fifty-one years, sharing so much of her life within these walls. JumpStart Program Helps Single Mom, Kristina, purchase a reliable vehicle

Our JumpStart program was created to help individuals and families acquire quality, affordable cars so they have a reliable way to get to work, pick up groceries, and live a self-sufficient life here in rural Wisconsin. 181 Children Receive Holiday Gifts Thanks to YOU!

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our annual Holiday Gift Drive! Each year, we strive to lighten the burden felt by so many families during the holidays by collecting donations of toys, clothing, and gift cards to give to low-income families in Boyceville, Glenwood City, and Spring Valley communities. This year, we had 60 eligible families register for the program. 2022 Community Needs Assessment Results are Here

Hot off the press, the results of our 2022 Community Needs Assessment have been compiled, analyzed, and made available here on our website! Every three years, West CAP conducts a Community Needs Assessment to gather feedback from low-income individuals and community partner agencies within our seven-county service area. The survey is a requirement of the Federal Community Service Block Grant and it asks about a variety of topics including housing, transportation, health, employment, education, and food/nutrition services.
