Our agency has taken a heavy blow this week as we mourn the loss of our beloved colleague and friend, Darlene Waters.
Dar was hired at West CAP by the agency’s first Executive Director, Jake Banks, in 1972 as an Assistant Bookkeeper. She worked in the accounting department in the Glenwood City office for the next fifty-one years, sharing so much of her life within these walls. Dar was an invaluable companion and confidant to all who were blessed to know her. Her compassion and kindness represented everything we do as an agency. A piece of West CAP has been lost with her passing. She will be remembered dearly.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 20th, 2024 from 9am to 12pm at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 615 Maple Street, in Glenwood City. Following the visitation, a memorial service will begin at 12pm with a luncheon after. Her obituary is available here.
