Our JumpStart program was created to help individuals and families acquire quality, affordable cars so they have a reliable way to get to work, pick up groceries, and live a self-sufficient life here in rural Wisconsin. St. John’s Youth Donate Kits to West CAP’s Homeless Intervention Program

West CAP staff were surprised by a recent donation of 25 kits for our Homeless Intervention Program! A group of Faith Formation youth from Glenwood City’s St. John The Baptist Catholic Church collected donations of towels, blankets, socks and hygiene products to create 25 kits as a service project to help families in need through West CAP’s Homeless Intervention services. WERA: Wisconsin Emergency Rental Assistance Program
Set to Close January 31

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE1/20/2023 The Governor’s office announced the upcoming closing of the federally funded Wisconsin Emergency Rental Assistance program (WERA).  Applications are set to close on January 31, 2023 due to low remaining funds available.  Housing stability services will continue even after rental benefit funds are exhausted. WERA launched in February 2021 to help families avoid homelessness due to pandemic-related financial hardship.
